March 31: National Scholastic Chess Championship Qualifer Tournaments: Denker, Polgar and Barber: Harding University, Searcy Ark.
Denker Grade 9th -12th male or female :
2012 Arkansas Scholastic Chess Championship. Students must be in grades 9-12. 5 Swiss Sys. pairings, G/45 (45 minutes on each clock). The first place finisher qualifies for the Denker Tournament of High School Champions. Entry fee: $15. USCF membership required, may be purchased at the tournament. Registration: 8:30 - 9:15am. First round at 9:30, remaining rounds as soon as possible, thirty minute lunch break between rounds 2 and 3. May combine with Polgar and Barber based on participation.

2012 Arkansas Scholastic All Girls Chess Championship. Girls grades k-12, cannot turn 19 before July 29, 2011. 5 Swiss Sys. pairings, G/45 (45 minutes on each clock). The first place finisher qualifies for the Susan Polgar Girl’s Invitational in Lubbock, Texas. Entry fee: $15. USCF membership required, may be purchased at the tournament. Registration: 8:30 - 9:15am. First round at 9:30, remaining rounds as soon as possible, thirty minute lunch break between rounds 2 and 3. The All Girls Chess Championship may be combined with the Scholastic Chess Championship if fewer than 5 girls participate.

The first place finisher qualifies for the Barber Tournament of K-8 Champions. Entry fee: $15. USCF membership required; may be purchased at the tournament. Registration: 8:30 - 9:15am. First round at 9:30, remaining rounds as soon as possible, thirty minute lunch break between rounds 2 and 3. May combine with Denker & Polgar based on participation.
SCHOLASTIC (CAAS) DISCOUNT:
Scholastic teams of 5 – 8 players will receive a registration rate of $50 for the team. Teams must be members of CAAS, must pre-register by March 26th and must pay the registration fee in a single cash or check payment on site. All team members must have a current USCF memberships.
Food Court and Cafeteria available on site.
